Reviewed December 2024From the sandier soils. Made in foudres, demi-muids and barrels using 5% new wood. An even ruby purple. Fresh raspberry and strawberry fruit continues on to the palate, some tannins, with good grip at the finish to this zesty, youthful Marsannay.

A ripe and nicely fresh nose speaks mostly of various dark berries, earth and a hint of crushed anise. There is both good volume and solid density to the attractively textured middle weight flavors that conclude in a mildly rustic, balanced and lingering finish. This isn't refined but it is delicious and refreshing plus it should drink well young.
