The Booker's lineup remains one of the most famous in the bourbon world, and the highly coveted Little Book releases continue to spark fervor among enthusiasts. This latest edition is no exception and expertly showcases the quality of Beam's whiskey stocks and their blending prowess. This mix of 7-11 year bourbons and a cheeky 8 year rye starts with gooey caramel, toasted vanilla, charred wood, cinnamon and clove. The first pour feels a bit primary with the ethanol making itself apparent, but with enough air in the glass (and maybe a drop of water), the whiskey reveals a more suave and sophisticated nature. Glazed and grilled peach, praline, dusty rickhouse, and a more rye-focused spice start to draw attention from the bold oak, resulting in a long and complex finish worthy of the name. Don't take the fact that we got a decent allocation for granted; these won't last much longer.

Notes

The ninth release in Freddie Noe’s ambitious Little Book series is titled “None For Granted,” a tribute to the legacy of his family and the evolution of American whiskey blending. Like earlier installments, it marries mature stocks from the vast Beam warehouses in a way that feels both experimental and deeply rooted in Kentucky tradition. For this chapter, Noe leans into a trio of distinct straight whiskies including an older bourbon, a bold rye, and the innovative brown rice bourbon that has become a signature component of the series. Bottled at barrel strength just over 121 proof, it is a whiskey that commands attention yet shows the finesse that makes these limited editions so compelling. The style leans robust and spice-forward, with layers of sweet grain and oak underpinning the structure, offering a balance that rewards both collectors and drinkers. Fans of the series will find this to be one of the most complete and confident entries yet, a whiskey that respects its heritage while pushing the boundaries of what blending at Beam can achieve.
