ArPePe’s 2019 “Il Pettirosso” Valtellina Superiore is a graceful and aromatic Nebbiolo, blending fruit from the Sassella, Grumello, and Inferno crus. The nose is delicate yet expressive, with notes of red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, and orange zest, accented by hints of alpine herbs and crushed stone. On the palate, it’s light to medium-bodied with silky tannins and bright, refreshing acidity. The wine shows pure red fruit, savory spice, and a subtle mineral edge, leading to a long, lifted finish. A beautifully balanced mountain Nebbiolo with elegance, energy, and unmistakable terroir.
