2022 Domaine Emmanuel Rouget Nuits St. Georges

Note: from vines in Au Chouillet, Aux Lavières and Aux Argillats. Subtle though not imperceptible wood frames the ripe and fresh aromas of red and dark currant, earth and a whiff of sauvage character. There is again a lovely texture and verve to the medium weight flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality that adds a sense of lift to the more complex, balanced and persistent finish. This is not only excellent but it too is finer than usual even though I underscore that there is still some rusticity, just less of it than normal. *Burghound Outstanding!*
