Marco de Grazia's basic Etna Bianco for me underlines the promise of the 2024 vintage on the volcano. Dripping in salinity and with ripe aromas of pineapple, white peach and jasmine, it vibrates with energy. Citrus zest and dried mango join the party on the long, bright finish. The classic introduction. Mostly Carricante with a touch of Catarratto, Grecanico, and Minnella. It’s bright, salty, and perfect for seafood.

Tenuta delle Terre Nere’s 2024 Etna Bianco is a crisp and mineral-driven white, crafted primarily from Carricante grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. The nose is precise and fragrant, with notes of lemon zest, green apple, and white flowers, layered with hints of wet stone and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, racy acidity and a refined texture frame citrus and orchard fruit, with a pronounced saline edge. The finish is long and linear, echoing volcanic minerality and herbal lift. A focused, elegant Etna Bianco with purity and tension.
