Slick mineral driven style, showing subtle notes of dried peach, Pippin apple, white flowers and lemon rind. It is the succulent mineral driven palate that really sings though. This is a lovely white of nuance and complexity. Even better with a brief decant or even the next day!
Notes
Caroline Charriere has excellent old vine fruit from around the hamlet of Courthezon, one of the maine zones for Chateauneuf-du-Pape production. Her Blanc is all old vine fruit made with 45% Grenache Blanc, 45% Roussanne and 10% Viognier. All the wine is fermented and aged in concrete tanks.
