One of my favorite things to do is find wines that the producers who make some of the best wines from any given region are drinking in their day to day - this is exactly one of those bottles.
Primarily Barbera, but some other indigenous varietals mixed in - freisa, dolcetto, and bonarda - this wine delivers on anything you could want from a field blend. Light tannin, zingy acidity, and notes of jasmine, white flower petals, and fresh bing cherry makes this a playful and fun drinking experience. This is the kind of wine that the producers of some of the best DOC/G's in Piemonte are having at their dinner tables - and I am always pleasantly surprised how good this blend is from vintage to vintage.
Whip up a simple pasta dish with marinera to pair and this wine will really sing!

This blend got its start when the importer stopped for lunch at a little trattoria, and was served a remarkable pitcher of Arneis. This easy-to-enjoy blend is typically about half Barbera, with Dolcetto, Freisa and Bonarda.
