Notes
One of the most influential and interesting people in the Bay Area food and wine community, Sean Thackrey produced extraordinary wines from 1980 until his recent death. His releases were not only for quality and complexity, but also because he utilized unique winemaking techniques, often drawing from historic, sometimes ancient, winemaking practices from all over the world. Self-taught and fully reliant on his intuition and senses, Sean was the antithesis of corporate winemaking, and his presence in the world of wine will be dearly missed. The blend for this Old Vine bottling consists of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Carignan, Pinot Noir, Viognier, and Petite Sirah.
