The 2022 Antech “Émotion” Extra Brut Rosé Crémant de Limoux is dry, zesty, and joyfully refreshing, opening with cheerful notes of lemon gelato swirled with raspberry, hints of rose Turkish delight, bread dough, and ribbons of smoky flint. Its frothy, playful texture makes me want to lean my head back and sigh—Antech, take me away. Truly one of the best values in rosé sparkling on our shelves right now, it’s a bottle I’ll be stocking up on for everyday enjoyment.
Notes
Cuvee Emotion is a vintage Cremant de Limoux composed of 60% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin, and 20% Pinot Noir. It is hand harvested, and made in the traditional method, spending a minimum 18 months on the lees. This bubbly has notes of red fruit with light floral undertones. It captures the sunshine and energy of Southern France while coming in at a price that other sparklers can't touch. It is now produced as an Extra Brut style with less than 6 g/L of residual sugar.
