Brambly, meaty and just a little wild; a varietal Garnacha aged in 300L clay amphorae with no additional SO2. There's a subtle complexity in the absence of oak, allowing the ruggedness of the Garnacha to shine through. 2023-2028 (FK)

A varietal Garnatxa sourced from Montsant, the 2022 Vi d'Amfora was fermented with whole clusters. Deep garnet in color, it showcases sun-kissed fruits on the nose, with hints of white pepper and herbs. Dry and loose on the palate, it flows delicately and sapidly, with a subtle tannic texture. The amphorae and stems scaffold the wine’s texture.(JH)

Vinyes Domenech are certified organic, practicing biodynamic, and are at the forefront of the studies of biodiversity in vineyards and the land that surround them. Their 15ha of vines are located in the Nature reserve of the Serra de Llaberia. Their vines are surrounded by nature; pines, scrub, and more Mediterranean herbs than you can name. They are meticulous farmers and approach their winemaking in a similarly thoughtful manner. This is 100% Garnacha that is certified organic and biodynamic. Fermentation and aging occurs in 300L clay amphoras. It is bottled with minimal use of Sulphur. This is a pure and vibrant expression of the varietal, with a mix of red and dark berries with layers of mountain herbs.The wine finishes with a subtle minerality that speaks to the regions calcareous soils that the aging in amphora emphasizes.
