Reviewed May 2022Riesling from 550m elevation in the High Eden subregion of the Eden Valley. The outstanding 2021 vintage delivers yet again, providing laser-like precision, pure limey fruit and sapidity. There's wonderful tension here between the fresh lime juice and blossom notes and the porcelain-like acid structure. Light phenolics add gentle texture and luff its sails but then that lip-smacking acidity powers through finishing crisp, dry and limey.

Vinous
Super pale in color. The 2021 Riesling Cirrus High Eden Valley Single Vineyard shows exceptional purity and focus, although it remains tightly wrapped in a core of firm acidity. Lime peels, lemon pith and bath salt aromas with touches of tonic water to start. Fine yet tense with flavors tightly packed, slowly unfurling their chalky, citrus notes showing impressive concentration and length. Very young and needs at least a decade to show its best.
