Notes
Castello di Perno farms Barbera at Nizza Monferrato as well as Nebbiolo in Monforte d'Alba. Its Nizza is made entirely from Barbera, joining the wines of a cellar founded in 2013 at Castelletto. Nizza DOCG is the appellation on this bottle; Perno identifies the producer. The estate's 2018 release information records destemmed fruit, an initial cold soak and spontaneous fermentation, followed by maturation in wooden barrels.
