2020 Bodegas 220 Cántaras "Lias Finas" Rosado Rioja

This wine used to be labeled as Honorío Rubio, but that is the only change that has been made! Bodegas 220 Cantaras is a white Rioja specialist. In a land best known for its incredibly age-worthy reds, among many die-hards out there it is undoubtedly the traditional whites which represent Rioja's finest and most original wines. We would add as well the barrel aged rosés, which are incredibly rare (Lopez de Heredia's we received less than 2 cases this year) Honorío makes an absolutely killer rosé, from some of his oldest Viura and Garnacha, briefly macerated and co-fermented, then aged 16 months in used barrels (which previously held his Lias Finas white wine). An inimitable, rich and bright, incredibly food friendly style of rosé.
