2021 Domaine Emmanuel Rouget Nuits St. Georges

Note: from vines in Au Chouillet, Aux Lavières and Aux Argillats. Here the equally cool and restrained nose is earthier still with its mix of red and dark pinot fruit and forest floor scents. The mouthfeel of the supple, round and seductively textured flavors is enhanced by the firm yet relatively fine tannins shaping the inviting finish that is quite clean and precise thanks to the bright, but not drying, acidity. At present, this isn't quite as complex as the CdNV though that may of course change with bottle age.
