2020 Domaine Beau Mistral "Selection Vieilles Vignes" Rasteau

Good depth of colour. Sage and pine needles over raspberry and blackberry fruit. Full and generous, with plenty of fat, with that tell-tale touch of Rasteau sucrosité. A hint of raspberry eau-de-vie, too. The alcohol is a little raised, but the tannins are very fine, with a long, slightly spicy finish. Planted on blue marls with galets roulés, all destemmed. 90% aged in concrete, the rest in barrel. (MW)
