Reviewed October 2020From the Ormeau and Casses Têtes vineyards. Mid yellow in colour, while the bouquet is hauntingly beautiful from first sniff. Ripe, of course, but so gently so, and so nuanced, pear, very light peach, but fresh throughout, some citrus notes. The palate purveys light grenadine, lovely little orange citrus notes too, yet still with some flesh. There is absolutely no sense of heat and the most incredible persistence. This perfume just will not lie down. Arnaud thinks that the Casses Têtes grapes have brought this to the wine. *5-Star Wine*

The 2019 Meursault villages bottling from the Ente family is another very tasty and accessible wine. The nose is vibrant and classy, wafting from the glass in a mix of apple, passion fruit, just a hint of papaya, almond, citrus zest, vanillin oak and a lovely base of chalky soil. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a fine core, excellent complexity and bounce, good acidity and a long, focused finish that shows just a hint of exotic fruit on the close. Very tasty.

The 2019 Meursault Village unwinds in the glass with aromas of pear, wheat toast, white flowers and orange oil, framed by a discreet touch of youthful reduction. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with a pretty core of fruit, racy acids and a bright, mouthwatering finish, it derives from two lieux-dits: En l'Ormeau on the plain (which is also the source of Ente's Clos des Ambres and Sève du Clos bottlings) and Les Casse-Têtes on the hillside; the vines having been planted in 1952–1953 and 1998, respectively.
