2009 Domaine J Coudray-Bizot Nuits St. Georges "Au Bas de Combe"

Light ruby. A relatively high-toned nose of raspberry, cherry and red currant displays nuances of both earth and spice hints. There is good verve to the utterly delicious medium weight flavors that are not especially concentrated yet there is no dilution either. Moreover I like the complexity as well as the depth on the balanced finish and overall this manages to avoid the excesses of the vintage.
