Reviewed June 2023Equally cool and fresh aromas are comprised by notes of green apple, lemon zest and pretty acacia blossom wisps. There is a bit more volume as well as better mid-palate density to the attractively textured flavors that display unusually good length in the context of the appellation on the very dry but not really austere finale. Notes
A blend of clonally-selected Chardonnays make up the Benoit Bourgogne Blanc. The wine is first aged in wood and glass vessels before being finished in stainless steel. In doing so, the process ensures the minerality so celebrated in Burgundian Chardonnay without sacrificing the complexity of the grape with its floral, lighter fruit character.
