2021 Raventós i Blanc "Blanc de Blancs" Brut Conca del Riu Anoia

The 2021 Blanc de Blancs from Raventós I Blanc is composed from a cépages this year of forty percent Xarel-lo, thirty-five percent Macabeu, ten percent Parellada and five percent Malvasia de Sitges. It was aged for eighteen months on its fine lees prior to disgorgement. The bouquet is bright and complex, hopping from the glass in a complex blend of lemon, breadfruit, wild fennel, a touch of menthol, stony minerality and a nice touch of salinity in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and very elegant in profile, with lovely depth at the core, good mineral undertow, frothy mousse and a long, complex and nicely balanced finish.
