Decanter
Reviewed December 2023Jean-François Bordet is the dynamic owner of this Maligny property. The estate's Fourchaume is always on point and this is true in 2022. Cool, restrained, youthful nose. Plenty of drive on the palate, but this will need up to 12 months to really open up. Lots of potential, though, with notes of white flowers, zesty acidity and a very appealing mineral edge to finish. Lovely. (AH)

Burghound
A cool, airy and floral-suffused nose reflects notes of iodine and lemon-lime. There is impressive density to the medium-bodied flavors, indeed the texture is almost thick, with excellent punch on the stony and youthfully austere finale. Very promising.

Vinous
The 2022 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru comes from 54-year-old vines and sees a ten-month élevage. The nose sports a clever, discrete reduction, well-defined and energetic, with touches of dried honey, wet stone and oyster shells. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, good concentration and a judiciously spiced, quite persistent finish. This deserves a hearty round of applause. (NM)
Notes
Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "Today this is 100% from Homme Mort, 55-year-old vines.A light floral over an airy yellow citrus – it’s a compelling invitation to drink. Clean, mouth-filling and wide, a little extra juiciness – such a great, always widening finish always so mouth-watering – a great and complex finish too. I think that’s a top wine!" (01/2024)
