Reviewed May 2023From 80- to 90-year-old vines picked at 76° Oechsle, the 2022 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett offers a clear, pure and fresh, coolish and flinty bouquet of crushed stones and bright, ripe fruits. Round and with ripe, crystalline acidity, this is a charmingly aromatic Himmelreich Kabinett with stunningly crisp and vivacious, mineral acidity on the finish. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023. (SR)

91pts Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2022er Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett was made from fruit picked at a low 78° Oechsle on 80-year-old un-grafted vines and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (50 g/l). This wine proves quite open for business thanks to an engaging nose made of mirabelle, citrusy fruits, spices, a hint of whipped cream, and smoky elements. The wine comes over as not overly intense but quite complex on the palate and leaves a nicely juicy and moderately zesty feel in the finish. The aftertaste is quite appealing and really makes one want to go for more. 2027-2042 ." (06/2023)
