A beautiful Rhone blend with outstanding purity and poise. This tiny production wine comes from three top quality vineyards: Rodnick Farm and Brousseau in the Chalone AVA plus Marimar's Don Miguel Vineyard in the Russian River Valley! It has a wonderful balance of pure fruit and soil driven minerality. The wine is precise and elegant but without any sense of being over-worked. Dewy rose garden, forest berries, black raspberry, toasted spices, crushed peppercorn, garrigue-like notes. Tactile tannins give nice length on the finish complimenting the lifted fruit. I was VERY impressed with the entire Puppione line up and I'm excited to have these on our shelves!

Named after the turning point in Italian poetry, Volta seduces with 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre whole-cluster, native yeast fermentation. It’s unbridled with lots of personality. Both fresh and dried fruit swirl on the nose—baskets of cherries and plums with a touch of garrigue. On the palate—cherry, juicy plum, rhubarb, dried sage, and pipe tobacco. The tannins are approachable so it can be enjoyed now but will also age gracefully. *Gold Medal, 2023 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition*
Notes
A combination of organically farmed fruit from Chalone and Russian River Valley. This classic Rhône blend comprises of 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre. The fruit is fermented entirely whole cluster, foot tread, with native yeast. After fermentation the wine rests in neutral French oak for 10 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal additions. Puppione is a small family winery with a close relationship to us here at K&L and we're excited to get the wines on the shelves!
