The nose of The Aux Serpentieres is earthy and herbal. On the palate, though, the wine has a nice acidity to it, with strong notes of mushroom and cherry, as well as some floral notes. And to tie it all together, the tannins are soft and silky. Another elegant wine from Jean-Michel Giboulot.

Light and elegant Pinot Noir with bright red cherry profile with savory spice notes, light soft tannins, crunchy acidity and supple mid palate . Despite difficulties of 2021 vintage Jean Michel overdelivers with his "Aux Serpentieres" bottling. It has classic Burgundy profile and it's delicious to drink now as well as to keep it for a few years to let it develop extra nuances.
Notes
Jean-Michel Giboulot took over the family business in 1982 and has put together one of the best bang-for-your-buck portfolios in all of Burgundy over the last three-plus decades. Giboulot's wines straddle the line between traditional and modern, with reds that have crunchier fruit and fine tannins, but plenty of ripeness and purity.
