Crisp Asian pear flesh, jicama and a light lemon glaze meet with a wet clay minerality on the nose of this twist-top bottling that gets a wider distribution than most of this brand's output. Subtle green pear flavors are cut by a bright citrus zest acidity and firm tension on the palate.

One of the best deals you'll ever find in Santa Cruz Mountain Chardonnay. Alfaro's "A" Chardonnay is entirely estate growen including fruit from the famed Trout Gulch Vineyard that is now owned outright by the Alfaro family. The wine also has fruit from the original Alfaro estate plantings in Corralitos. The wine spends 7 months in French oak, mostly neutral, just 20% new.
