Reviewed January 2023This twist-top, priced-to-sell estate bottling is a stellar deal from a regional legend. Aromas of wild, tart cherry greet the nose, while the palate picks up complex layers of sagebrush, raspberry compote and peppercorn. *Editors' Choice* (MK)

Like the Trout Gulch Pinot Noir, this one also has bright and crunchy red fruits. In this case, it is cherry and strawberry fruit. Spicy on the palate with some light herbal notes. Bright cherry and dark raspberry also dominate the palate. Also like the Trout Gulch Pinot Noir, fantastically delicious!
Notes
This wine underwent native primary and secondary fermentation and aged 10 months on its lees in French oak barrels, 20% of which were new. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Tasting notes from the producer: "Ruby in color, medium in body. Bright cherry and raspberry notes on the nose, with abundant Bing cherry, spice and vanilla flavors on the palate. This wine has well-integrated tannins and refreshing acidity."
