The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru has a ripe, very floral bouquet of kirsch and raspberry jam infused with pressed violet, quite opulent and generous. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very sorbet-like and slightly savory toward the finish, which features brown spices sprinkled over red berry fruit. Fine persistence here, although the oak will require time to assimilate. (NM)
