2018 Conundrum by Caymus California White Blend

Conundrum? Maybe they should rename this wine "Simply Yum," since it's hardly a conundrum anymore. Everyday drinking, great value California wines need not be "fighting varietals" anymore, as all the world loves a good blend. Conundrum is owned by the Wagner family of Caymus Vineyards, but stands on its own as a separate brand. Once again a blend of popular and esoteric white grapes (generally including, in no special order: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier, and Muscat), this a quintessential sipper offering copious amounts of ripe, silky fruit, tropical in nature, along with vanilla notes, honeysuckle, and melon.
