Reviewed March 2019An ultra-fresh and notably spice dark currant, plum and softly earth-inflected nose leads to sleek, intense and well-detailed middle weight flavors that possess fine depth and persistence on the ever-so-slightly lean finish. This is very 2013 in style with a mild acid tang yet I like the overall delivery and this should reward extended keeping. In a word, lovely. Try from 2028+

The 2013 Nuits Saint Georges les Vignerondes has a rounded and even at this early stage, generous bouquet with dark plum and mulberry scents, wild hedgerow and a touch of mushroom. The palate is soft on the entry, plenty of "rondeur" here with a sensual, caressing dark plum and wild strawberry finish that lingers long in the mouth. This will be very tempting in its youth.(NM)
