The 2016 Barbaresco Autinbej is a very pretty entry-level wine in this range. Black cherry, spice, menthol, licorice and dried flowers all open up in a fruity, forward Barbaresco that will drink well right out of the gate. This is such a delicious and inviting wine. Drink 2021-2036. (AG)

Considering that Barbaresco is aged for two years in barrel and an additional year in bottle prior to release, we're grateful that we can offer this impressive young vines Nebbiolo from Ca del Baio at such a modest price. The cost is only slightly higher than most Langhe Nebbiolos and well worth it. This is a classicly styled Barbaresco that can be enjoyed now yet will continue to round out over the next few years.

Charming, well-structured Nebbiolo with beautiful aromas of spices, blackthorn fruit and floral notes in the background. On the palate it's firm yet approachable with supple flavors that remind me ripe blackthorn berries, wild red plums, Damson plums and muddled red cherries supported by earthy texture. Finish is long and spicy with savory touch to it. Incredibly delicious to drink now, but also will reward you in years to come.
