95-98 points Jasper Morris for Inside Burgundy: "Rich deep purple, 100% whole bunch, one third new oak. This has a very complex nose worth delving into, darker fruit, even some blackberry. Gorgeous full mouthful, oak at the back then fruit once more, with a nice touch of acidity. The whole bunch effect sits seamlessly within the fruit. More red fruit at the finish, very elegant, long, and precise." Fermented with 100% stems, like most of the top Groffier reds in 2016, it’s silky and elegant yet with considerable underlying punch and power. One of my favourite wines of the vintage. 2026-36."
