Reviewed June 2018The 2017 GSM Blend Rosé is pale salmon-pink colored and opens with red cherries, raspberry leaves and redcurrants scents with hints of baking spices and dried roses. Dry, light-bodied, crisp and refreshing with subtle red berry flavors and a racy finish. (LPB)
Notes
Made from 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 15% Mourvèdre. Direct to press rosé from an old vineyard in the recently designated Moon Mountain District AVA in Sonoma. The vines are farmed by legendary veteran grape grower Jesus "Chuy" Ordaz, who has been tending vines in this area since the early 1960s. The wine is crafted and coaxed into bottle by Chuy's son Eppie. A beautifully pure, refreshing, quaffable style of rosé with plenty of texture and layers to go with the crunchy acidity and zippy drive. A summer favorite for sure! (Ryan Woodhouse - K&L Wine Buyer)
