Reviewed December 2016Keenan's 2014 Merlot is a very pretty wine that shows the more translucent side of Merlot. Lifted, bright and articulate, the 2014 offers lovely finesse in its red-toned fruit and floral aromatics. I would prefer to drink the 2014 sooner rather than later given its mid-weight structure. The 2014 Merlot from Napa is a delicious, solidly constructed 100% Merlot that sells for a reasonable price. Chinese black tea, black cherry, mocha and some underbrush are all found in this medium-bodied, deliciously fruity, complex Merlot to drink over the next decade.(RP)
