Reviewed August 2017Pale ruby-purple in color, the 2015 Pinot Noir Mount Richmond gives an expressive mulberry, black cherry and red plum-laced nose with hints of anise, red roses and oolong tea. The palate reveals a solid backbone of grainy tannins and lively acid, supporting the generous fruit and paving the long, spicy finish. (LPB)

Deep red. Lively, highly perfumed raspberry, Asian spice and rose scents are complicated by hints of woodsmoke and cola. Silky and penetrating on the palate, where juicy acidity provides spine and lift to sweet red fruit liqueur, spicecake and floral pastille flavors. This nicely concentrated but lively Pinot finishes smooth and sweet, displaying excellent focus and persistent floral character. (JR)
