2015 Claiborne & Churchill "Estate" Edna Valley Pinot Noir

Starting with an aromatic note of strawberry-like freshness and then gradually filling out with elements of cherries, minerals, toast and a wispy touch of dried flowers combining for a very positive Pinot Noir presentation, this nicely composed effort is at once rich and fairly pert on the palate with continuous flavors that very much follow the lead of the nose. It stiffens and cramps a bit in the late going, but its indiscretions can be wholly blamed on its youth, and it fully deserves to be cellared until it reaches its fifth birthday. *One Star*
