Reviewed December 2016Cofermented with 10% Viognier, this is a sweet jammy style of Syrah, which tastes as if it has retained a bit of residual sugar. Along with the flavors of berry jam are other components-chalk, cola and toasted peanuts. Drink now and over the next couple of years.

A self-proclaimed "loving partnership of wine industry slaves," Lauren Eisold and Adam Smith are devoted to making classic and sensual Pinot Noir and Chardonnay (and Syrah!) from the Willamette Valley. Their 2014 Syrah is sourced from Eastern Oregon, Southern Oregon and the Willamette Valley, fermented with 45% whole clusters and 10% Viognier.
