Reviewed March 2015
Bright crimson-purple; absolutely in the heart of Margaret River style for this blend, which includes small amounts of malbec and petit verdot; medium to full-bodied, with cassis/blackcurrant fruit, satin supple tannins and integrated French oak (12 months maturation). This is the ultimate statement of a privileged place.

Bright, clean and complex. This wine has a lot going on for a very reasonable price, lifted aromatics of fruit, spice, tobacco and earth. The palate is supported with fine tannins, a touch of oak and moderate acidity. This is a wine that demands your attention for a everyday price tag.

Notes

Winemaker's Notes: "Due to another classic and outstanding growing season this wine displays a fragrant nose of red and black currant fruit with raspberries, violets and hints of cedar and mint. The palate displays persistent berry flavours with fine tannin supporting a long elegant palate. The 2013 vintage will go down as another great vintage in Margaret River. An unsettled weather period in November that consisted of rain, hail and high winds impacted flowering and as a result yields were down by around 30%. Whilst yields where down, the fruit intensity and quality is very high. The Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River is predominantly sourced for its consistency in producing rich fruit flavours and a small percentage is sourced from the Wallcliffe sub-region of Margaret River, located further south, providing subtle and elegant aromatics and fine tannins.
