A decent effort in this tough vintage for some of the Médoc wines, Lanessan’s 2012 has some nice suppleness to the tannin, cranberry and black cherry fruit, plum and blackcurrants. It is medium-bodied with earth, herbs and spice. Drink it over the next decade. (RP)

This Left Bank value stunner is all about class, inside and out. In fine form with 12 years of age, it’s drinking beautifully right now with fresh and modern touches of plum, cassis, black tea, and a whisper of dried lavender. Perfect for savory snacks with people you look forward to spending time with.

A staple at K&L – Showing elegant notes of crushed stones, wood spices and cassis. On the palate, it is medium body, with cassis fruit, dark cherries. The touch of spices and earthiness lend its elegance. An absolute no-brainer.

Notes

* A very fruity and tasty style. Another great value from what Robert Parker calls a "consistent property that turns out wines that are often very close to classified-growth quality."
