2012 Belle Glos "Meiomi" Pinot Noir

This wallet-friendly Pinot has a solid CV: It's a second label of Belle Glos, the Pinot Noir house of Napa's Caymus Vineyards, and a consistent store favorite here at K&L. The 2011 vintage earned 92 points from the Wine Spectator and a "Smart Buy" designation. The 2012 Pinot Noir, which is sourced from coastal Sonoma County, Monterey and Santa Barbara counties--thus the California appellation--is surprisingly deeply colored and brooding. Christmas spice and smokey potpourri aromas lead to a dense palate of chewy, black cherries. Keep this bottle on hand for when the cool fog curls against the windows and a Beef Bourguignon simmers in the pot.
