Reviewed September 2015A huge, powerful wine, the 1990 Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard hits the palate with serious depth and intensity. The flavors are quite dark in a brooding, virile Pinot Noir endowed with a real sense of gravitas. Although not one of the more finessed wines made at Calera, the 1990 Jensen has certainly held up well. Smoke, game, licorice and worn-in leather all hint at full maturity and suggest the 1990 needs to be enjoyed within the next few years. (AG)

Bold and powerful. Brooding dark fruit, earth, graphite, and leather. Quite tight on the first pass around the table, but it opened up nicely with 15 mins of air. Still has some years ahead of it.
