Reviewed January 2019The 2017 Morey-Saint-Denis En La Rue Vergy offers tightly wound red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit; hints of blueberry come through with aeration. The finely balanced palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and good substance toward the earthy finish. Hints of tobacco linger on the aftertaste. Excellent.(NM)

After this firm nose the palate offers greater succulence than expected. This is a hillside wine so it is more about the quality of the fruit than depth of flavour and weight. Tasted: November 2018."
