Golden in colour, with pronounced tropical fruits, mango, pineapple, pollen and acacia honey on the nose. Great depth and concentration on a classy palate of apricot, marmalade, pineapple and orange zest, spiced up by white pepper on the tip of the tongue. The passionate, tropical flavours are backed by great acidity (8.77 g/l), with dried fruit notes lingering on forever. Aged for 18 months in old oak barrels. An exceptional Aszú born in a difficult year. (SW)
Tokaj’s Aszú wines owe their identity to individually selected grapes affected by noble rot, traditionally steeped in must or wine. The 5 Puttonyos designation signifies a minimum of 120 grams of residual sugar per liter. Samuel Tinon’s 2022 Tokaji Aszú belongs to this historic Hungarian sweet-wine tradition and comes in a 500ml bottle.
Winemaker Bálint Losonci, began his career as a local wine writer but fell in love with the process. Early on he recognized the potential of the Matra region even though it was known mostly for bulk production during the Soviet era. Working with native grapes and all low intervention winemaking, Bálint has become one of the region's great cult successes. *Orange Wine* *Natural Wine* *No Sulfites Added*
Aromas of dried peaches, dried mangoes, blanched almonds, toasted brioche, white mushrooms and orange blossom. Full-bodied and dense. So smooth and sleek on the palate, viscous and long with vivid acidity offsetting the sweetness and brings harmony to it. Very long and seamless with attractive exotic spiciness and hints of dried orange at the end. Drink or hold. (AS)

Kékfrankos is Hungary’s name for Blaufränkisch, a grape with deep roots in the wine regions along the Hungarian-Austrian border. Wetzer’s 2023 red comes from Sopron in western Hungary, where Kékfrankos is a defining local variety, connecting this wine to a shared Central European grape-growing tradition.
Tokaj’s centuries-old Aszú tradition is based on grapes naturally affected by noble rot and gathered through selective harvests. Patricius’s 2018 5 Puttonyos bottling carries one of the region’s historic classifications, traditionally indicating the proportion of Aszú berries used. Presented in the classic 500ml format, it reflects a wine style central to Tokaj’s UNESCO-recognized cultural landscape.
Tarcal is a historic wine village at the foot of Tokaj Hill, within Hungary’s UNESCO-recognized Tokaj wine region. Kikelet, established there by Stéphanie and Zsolt Berecz, focuses on local vineyard expressions. This 2023 Tarczal is made from Furmint, the region’s signature white grape and a cornerstone of both dry and sweet Tokaj wines.
Zoltán Demeter established his eponymous Tokaj winery in 1996, building an estate around parcels in several of the region’s historic vineyard sites. This 2024 dry white is made from Furmint, the signature grape of Tokaj, a Hungarian wine region whose historic cultural landscape is recognized by UNESCO.
Tokaj’s historic vineyard landscape became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, recognizing centuries of winegrowing in northeastern Hungary. Tokaj Nobilis’s 2023 “Barakonyi” Furmint brings that regional heritage into focus through one of Tokaj’s principal white grapes, a variety central to both its celebrated sweet wines and its dry whites.
Juhfark takes its name from the grape cluster’s elongated, sheep-tail shape. This 2022 Apátsági bottling comes from Somló, a compact historic wine region centered on an extinct volcanic hill in western Hungary, where basalt-rich geology and a long tradition of white-wine growing define the area’s distinctive viticultural identity.

Very attractive nose with notes of dried lemons, orange blossoms, dried herbs, and crushed stones. Medium-bodied, textural and crisp on a lively, energetic palate. I like the tension and crunchiness. Refreshing, citrusy finish. Drink now. (AS)
