The 1995 Château La Mission Haut-Brion is in a simply brilliant place after nearly a quarter century. Still beaming with plenty of life and character, this stunning Pessac-Léognan begins with incredible aromatics of blackberries and dark plum along with exotic spices, meat, savory herbs and hints of earthy nuances all soaring from the glass. On the palate this just as impressive, as it possesses wonderful depth and body, backed by ultra-fine, silky tannins which lead up the gorgeous finish. This is likely drinking as good as it ever will, however it also possesses the ability to hold for at least another decade. This is an absolute classic. (JD)
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Maison Leroy Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots" . Founder of The Wine Advocate Robert Parker writes of Maison Leroy: "Much has been written about the dynamic Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy. Some of it has been malicious and motivated strictly by insidious jealousy. From time to time I have complained of her pricing structure. Yet there should never be any criticism of her philosophy of what burgundy should be. Her wines are among the noblest and purest expressions of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. They are treated with the care of a pampered child, never filtered, and bottled barrel by barrel. Given the size of her wines and their power and structure, in a cool damp cellar they will last 20 to 25 years."

Bid on this bottle of 1995 DRC Domaine de la Romanée Conti Echézeaux Grand Cru (93RP, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "Very pale ruby-brick colour. Wonderfully open, fragrant nose of rose petals, dried cranberries, iron ore, cinnamon and cardamom. The palate reveals the most approachable wine of the 1995 DRC line-up giving plenty of opulent fruit supported by crisp acidity and a low to medium level of silky tannins. Very long spicy finish. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Taylor "Quinta de Vargellas" Vintage Port (94VN, 92WS, 91JG). Vinous: "Saturated ruby. Brooding blueberry, cassis, licorice and mineral nose complicated by a whiff of smoked meat; easy to pick out as Taylor in a blind grouping. Very concentrated, palate-saturating black cherry and black raspberry flavor. Thick and round but vibrant and delineated. Impressive extract. Explosive finishing fruit goes on and on. A very powerful port, but much more accessible early than a classic vintage Taylor. (ST)" (03/1998)

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Emmanuel Rouget Échézeaux Grand Cru (91BH). Burghound: "Remarkably supple and forward with elegant red fruits framed by traces of earth and a touch of oak followed by sweet, sappy, modulated, round flavors that offer excellent detail and fine length and the slight astringency that this displayed for years has finally rounded out. For my taste, this has arrived at its peak and while there is certainly no rush to drink up, neither is there any reason to hold for further upside development. Multiple, and consistent, notes." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Domaine Hubert Lignier Clos des La Roche Grand Cru (97RP, 94ST, 93BH). Wine Advocate: "This dark ruby-colored wine (originally rated 93-95 in Issue #111) displays enthralling scents of candied hazelnuts, stones, fresh herbs, blackberries, blueberries, plums, and wet gravel basking in the sun. It is just as extraordinary and complex on the palate as it is aromatically, offering an awesomely intense, broad, and expansive character. This full-bodied, mouth-coating, oily-textured, and juicy yet immensely rich wine is redolent with blackberry, cassis, cedar, stone, and briery flavors. Its stunningly long finish offers copious quantities of fruit complemented by supple tannins. Drink it between 2006 and 2020+. Bravo! (PR)" (08/1998)

Attractive blackberry aromas. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a silky, long finish. Slightly one-dimensional but delicious.
This has a very different expression to other Sassicaia wines, which all stand as testament to their vintage and location; they evolve and give a specific impression of passing time. The tannins are still biting, baring their teeth almost, this many years on. The grip is incredible. Here you start to understand why young wines can show clever winemaking, yet it is only with older vintages where you truly understand the effect of terroir and the confidence it gives a wine as it ages. It has the signatures of a leather saddle, along with a floral-edged bowl of autumnal fruits. It holds supreme elegance and real structure. This will proceed at its own pace, and you are welcome to come along for the ride. (JA)
Bid on this magnum of 1995 Duckhorn "Three Palms" Napa Valley Merlot (1.5L). Wine Spectator: "Trim, even lean, but typical of this vineyard; for those who prefer an austere style. The mineral and currant are tight and so are the tannins. (JL)" (08/1998)

Bid on this magnum of 1995 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (95WS, 94DC, 92JD, 92RP). Wine Spectator: "Very youthful, with a ripe core of red currant and raspberry fruit and licorice flavor surrounded by creamy tannins. Plenty of smoke, mineral and tobacco notes chiming in, but this still has a ways to go, with plenty of grip still on the finish. (JM)" (03/2006)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1995 Allegrini Amarone della Valpolicella Classico (93RP, 91JS, 3GR). Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Amarone has developed beautifully. It remains firm and vibrant, with lovely complexity in its perfumed red cherries, licorice, leather, mint and flowers. Still big and full-bodied, the 1995 promises to drink well for a number of years. It is a magnificent effort from Allegrini. Much of the wine’s freshness can be attributed to a cold, rainy spring that resulted in an uneven flowering and naturally lower yields. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015. (AG, In the Cellar)" (05/2010)

Freemark Abbey's 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon also did well. It was much riper and opulent in style than the vast majority of the wines on this night, but what came across most was its grip and long, focused finish. (AG)
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Henri Jayer Echézeaux Grand Cru (93BH). Burghound: "A deeply earthy and very animale nose that is just beginning to display some secondary nuance on the densely fruited nose that continues onto the developing but not quite ready flavors that possess excellent concentration and much better phenolic ripeness than many '95s, all wrapped in a powerful, delicious and still firm and long finish. This is one of those wines that is still on its way up yet far enough along that one can easily begin to see how good it will finally be when it arrives at its majority. In sum, the '95 Ech is not one of Hanky J's very best efforts but it's still a first class pleasure to drink. For my taste, it could use another 4 to 5 years in the cellar first. Another bottle tasted in December 2015 was riddled with brett and fairly unpleasant." (12/2006)

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Vaghi Vintage Bas Armagnac in original wood. Vaghi Armagnac is an independent bottler dedicated to preserving the individuality and quiet grandeur of Armagnac. Rather than distilling itself, Vaghi curates exceptional casks from traditional, often family-run producers, releasing them with minimal intervention to preserve their natural character. The focus is on single-cask, vintage-dated Armagnacs, frequently bottled at natural strength and presented with clear, transparent labeling. Shaped by traditional distillation and long maturation in oak, these spirits evolve from vibrant eaux-de-vie into layered, harmonious expressions marked by fruit, spice, and depth rather than weight. Spanning nearly a century of distillation, this library offers a rare perspective on Armagnac through individual vintages—each bottle a singular, unrepeatable record of time, place, and tradition.

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Craigellachie 19 Year Old "Old Malt Cask" Single Sherry Barrel Single Malt Whisky. All that soft and integrated oloroso sherry flavor permeates the palate, while the delicate and malty flavors of the Highland whisky work in conjunction to balance out the richness. Even at 100 proof, this is a delicate whisky. It has a little more punch than your standard bottle of Macallan 18, but a few drops of water can temper that storm quite easily. Pour yourself a glass of this superb sherry-aged Craigellachie, enjoy that elegant marriage of toffee and caramel, and know that you got one of the best whisky deals of the year--hands down.

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Benrinnes 20 Year Old "K&L Exclusive - Signatory" Single Barrel Cask Strength Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This particular cask is light on its feet with fresh stone fruit on the initial entry, followed by soft touches of oak from the hogshead cask and a lovely note of biscuit and sweet malt. What's also interesting about this cask is that it only yielded 112 bottles and proofed itself down to 48.2% naturally. The result is a high-end session whisky designed to please serious fans of old school Scotch. The bad news about this cask is that it's the last one in Signatory's warehouse, meaning we're going to have to look elsewhere for future releases. At least 112 people will go home happy! Bid on this bottle of 1995 Old Forester Bottled In Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Acquired by Seller through private network from a Japan-based collector. This bottle is special, as it is right in the window of a transitional era for Old Forester. This OF was contract-distilled by Heaven Hill during a period of construction at the OF distillery, as noted by the split DSPs on the label. This era of Old Forester has a unique flavor profile and is a time capsule for the brand, as Heaven Hill's version is superior to the product that OF released when they resumed active distilling. Tasting Notes: Sweet oak, vanilla, and traditional medicinal or dusty-era undertones. Balanced caramel, light fruit, and vanilla with a warming, gentle proof presence. Long and satisfying, fading into sweet oak, leather, and mild dry baking spices.

******SPECIAL ORDER SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY - NEW YORK ARRIVAL IN 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS. NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS******* Founded in 1821, Linkwood has long been prized by blenders for the elegance and precision of its Speyside single malt. La Maison du Whisky's Artist #15 selection gives that spirit three decades of maturation and a final encounter with Pedro Ximenez sherry wood. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025, this 30-year-old whisky was finished in first-fill PX hogshead #21, which yielded 339 bottles at a natural cask strength of 51% ABV. It belongs to The Dark Side of the Moon, the sherry-focused branch of the fifteenth Artist collection, comprising six single casks from Highland and Speyside distilleries. The range examines both Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez influence, continuing a tradition of sherry maturation that has shaped Scotch whisky for centuries. Its title also pays tribute to a series of Glen Grant whiskies bottled by Velier in the 1990s. South African artist Sthenjwa Luthuli's work Compassion features on the label. Drawing on Zulu culture, Luthuli hand-carves, polishes and paints wooden panels into intricate, almost abstract compositions, continuing the Artist series' longstanding pairing of individual casks with contemporary art.
