One of the oldest and most traditional Cognac houses in France has recently had a more modern makeover and the results are stunning. The Hine Rare is still a VSOP, but they've rebranded it recently to just Hine Rare while keeping the juice the same. It brings the finesse and the tradition of top-quality Grand Champagne Cognac, but with less caramel and more pure fruit flavor. The Rare is soft and supple with flavors of stonefruit, vanilla, and perfectly integrated oak, but with a restraint that never comes close to sweet.
