NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS******* This 1997 Benrinnes preserves a distinctive chapter in the history of one of Speyside's most individual distilleries. Founded in 1826, Benrinnes survived a devastating flood, relocation and a major fire before a comprehensive rebuilding in the 1950s. Crucially, this vintage was produced during the era of its unusual partial triple distillation, a process subsequently replaced by conventional double distillation. Matured in sherry hogshead #9746 and bottled in 2025, this 27-year-old whisky is released under the Over 25 Years designation. The single cask yielded 221 bottles at a natural strength of 52.3% ABV. It joins La Maison du Whisky's Artist #15 The Dark Side of the Moon collection, a selection of six individual casks exploring sherry maturation across Highland and Speyside distilleries. The accompanying artwork is by South African artist Sthenjwa Luthuli, whose hand-carved and painted wooden panels reinterpret Zulu visual traditions through densely patterned contemporary compositions. The combination of a 1990s vintage, sherry hogshead maturation and Benrinnes' former distillation regime gives this release its particular historical significance.
