NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS******* The oldest whisky in La Maison du Whisky's Artist #15 The Dark Side of the Moon collection, this 1989 Mortlach was bottled in 2025 from second-fill sherry butt #S-28607. Aged for 36 years and released under the Over 35 Years designation, it represents the collection's earliest vintage. Just 250 bottles were drawn at a natural cask strength of 44.2% ABV. Founded in 1823 by James Findlater, Mortlach is Dufftown's oldest distillery and one of Speyside's most distinctive producers. Its complex partial triple distillation, famously described as 2.81 times, works in conjunction with traditional worm-tub condensers to create the substantial spirit for which the distillery is known. This release brings that distinctive production method together with more than three decades in a second-fill sherry butt. The Dark Side of the Moon collection explores sherry maturation through six individual casks, accompanied by the work of South African artist Sthenjwa Luthuli. His Untitled composition appears here, reflecting a practice rooted in Zulu culture and expressed through meticulously hand-carved, polished and painted wooden panels.
