NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS******* Distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2025, this 20-year-old Laphroaig was drawn from bourbon barrel #55800136, yielding just 135 bottles at a natural cask strength of 46.1% ABV. Founded in 1815 by brothers Alexander and Donald Johnston, Laphroaig remains one of Islay's defining distilleries, with its own floor maltings and an unusual arrangement of three wash stills and four spirit stills. This single cask was selected for La Maison du Whisky's Artist #15 Something in the Water collection, created in collaboration with Elixir Distillers to explore the island's historic distilleries through individual casks. Established in 2011, the Artist range combines whiskies bottled at natural strength with labels featuring the work of contemporary visual artists. The fifteenth edition's Islay collection showcases North Indian artist Radhika Surana, whose indigo-dyed textiles and delicate embroidery trace imaginary paths across the island's landscape. Her work Meandering through relationships III accompanies this release. The collection takes its name from one of Sukhinder Singh's favorite songs, reflecting his longstanding connection with Islay.
