Tenryohai "Utashiro Narukami - God of Lightning" Niigata Sake (720ml)

Tenryohai’s brewery on Sado Island traces its origins to Sado Meijo, a venture formed by two historic island producers. Renamed Tenryohai in 2008, it found new direction when Senichi Kato acquired the struggling brewery in 2018. Kato developed the Utashiro range around a modern interpretation of Niigata’s light, clean style, using long, cool fermentations to produce sake with naturally modest alcohol levels. Narukami, or “God of Lightning,” is made with Sado-grown Yamadanishiki for the koji and Ipponjime for the main fermentation, along with underground spring water sourced from Mount Kinpoku snowmelt. The brewery uses its proprietary TRH01 yeast and a Ko-on Toka starter. Pressed in a Yabuta and pasteurized in bottle, this genshu is undiluted after pressing and bottled at 13.5% ABV.
