Notes of roasted cherry, fried shiitake and roses dominate the nose of this Pinot, while the palate sings with flavors of zippy raspberry gastrique, fried sage, plum, orange peel and salty nori. Plush tannin balances very energetic acidity and the finish lingers for days. Take your time with this one. *Editors' Choice*

Int'l Wine Review
The 2023 Fulcrum Walala Vineyard Pinot Noir from the Far West Sonoma Coast was matured for 11 months in 39% new French oak. It shines with a glowing ruby core edged by a faint pink rim. Aromatically, it reveals black raspberry, black cherry, ground nutmeg, and hints of lemon herbs and dusty country road. The palate is supple, showcasing flavors of raspberry, ripe plum, and subtle pine forest tones. Supported by lively acidity and rounded tannins, it closes with length and finesse. 123 cases were made.

This is lively in feel, with a steely energy that ripples amid the blood orange and cherry pâte de fruit flavors that form the core. Iris, potpourri and strawberry core notes keep the tension up nicely through the finish. Drink now through 2031. 246 cases made.
