Tepeztate is the common name for Agave marmorata, a species used in Oaxaca’s mezcal tradition. Unlike tequila, which is made from blue Weber agave, mezcal can be produced from a range of agave species. This Oaxacan release from Mezcal de Leyenda’s Serie de Ocio puts tepeztate at the center.
