Notes
Josetta Saffirio’s Langhe Nebbiolo comes from the family’s younger estate vines on the southeast-facing slopes of Castelletto, in Monforte d’Alba. Limestone-rich soils place it firmly within the landscape that also shapes the estate’s Barolo. Sara Vezza took over the family business in 1999, continuing a farming history that reaches back five generations in Castelletto. For the 2021, the grapes were picked by hand and destemmed before an overnight cold soak. Fermentation involved ten days of maceration, followed by twelve months in large oak vessels.
